High school results have been announced without taking tests in situations caused by the global epidemic corona virus.

As a result of autopass, all the candidates who took part under Chittagong Board of Education have passed.  Of these, 12,143 got GPA-5.

Chittagong Board of Education Controller of Examinations Narayan Chandra Nath announced the results of the 2020 HSC examination on Saturday.

97,967 students from 274 educational institutions in Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban districts registered under the Chittagong Board of Education to take part in the HSC examination in 2020.

Although the HSC examinations of these students were supposed to start from April 1 of that year, the government postponed the HSC and equivalent examinations across the country on March 22 to prevent the transmission of corona virus.

On October 7, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni announced the cancellation of the HSC examination.  The grade number of HSC will be determined by evaluating the results of JSC-JDC and SSC-equivalent examinations of the candidates.

By amending the law on January 26 this year, the government gazetted the Intermediate and Secondary Education (Amendment) Act-2021, the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (Amendment) Act-2021 and the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board (Amendment) Act-2021.

According to the recommendations of the Advisory Committee of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education and the Department of Technical and Madrasa Education, the Madrasa and Technical Education Board along with 9 general boards were given the power by the government to publish results without examination.
