With the slogan ‘Right to Shelter is Sheikh Hasina's gift’, a total of 116 landless and homeless families are going to get houses at Chatmohar upazila in Pabna as a gift of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over the houses, built under the ‘Asrayan’ project to the homeless through video conference on March 22.
Chatmohar upazila Nirbahi Officer Momtaz Mondol said this in a press conference at the meeting room of the Upazila Parishad Complex on Saturday. The press conference was arranged to brief about the house of ‘Asrayan’ project.
Additional Commissioner (Land) of Chatmohot Tanjina Khatun, Upazila Engineer Sultan Mahmud, and Project Implication Officer SM Shamim Ehsan were present the press conference, among others.
According to the UNO, “198 out of 276 enlisted homeless and landless families in the Chatmohar upazila get house from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The rest 78 families will also get home by June this year.”
Each house was built at a cost of around Tk 2, 84,500, the UNO informed.
Momtaz Mondol said that the landless families are happy as they are going to get houses as PM’s gift.
