11,732 candidates pass 44th BCS written exam

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced the results of the written exam for the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination, with 11,732 candidates passing the test. The results were published on the PSC website on Wednesday, April 3, at around 3:30 PM.

The 44th BCS recruitment process was highly competitive, with a total of 3,50,716 job-seekers applying for the coveted positions. The preliminary exam was held on May 27 last year, and out of the 15,708 candidates who passed the preliminary exam, 11,732 managed to clear the written test.

The PSC has been widely lauded for its efforts to ensure transparency and fairness in the selection process. The successful candidates will be recruited in various cadres, including 250 in administration, 50 in police, 10 in foreign affairs, 14 in Ansar, 30 in audit and accounts, 11 in tax, 8 in cooperatives, 7 in railway transport and commercial, 10 in information, 23 in post, 6 in trade, 27 in family 

planning, 3 in food, and 485 in technical cadre and 776 in education cadre.

The PSC Controller of Examinations (Cadre), Anand Kumar Biswas, signed the 

result, which was published following the Bangladesh Civil Service (Age, Qualification 

and Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2014.
