Members of RAB-5, Rajshahi recovered 107 kgs. of hemp ( Cannabis) and arrested two drug peddlers with a truck from in front of Haji Filling Station of Fatepur under Manda police station in Naogaon district around 1-00 pm on Friday. The estimated price of the recovered hemp is Taka 42 lakh.
Arrested drug peddlers have been identified as Mahubardriver (32) son of Maksudar Rahman of village Taluk Shakti and Hafizul Rahman(40) son of Aftabuddin of Bhotmari village under Kaliganj police station under Lalmonirhat district. RAB also seized a truck, a water tank and mobile phones from the possession of the arrested persons.
It is learnt, the arrested drug peddlers procured the Cannabis from the frontier area of Lalmonirhat and carrying those inside the water tank through the pick-up truck. RAB recovered 107 kgs of Cannabis during checking the pick up near Haji Filling Station of Fatepur under Manda police station in Naogaon.
