100 species of saplings planted in Sherpur marking Mujib Barsho

One hundred native and foreign species of fruit and medicinal saplings were planted to inaugurate Bangabandhu Uddyan in Sherpur’s Lachmanpur Land Office premises on Wednesday marking Mujib Barsho. Deputy Commissioner of Sherpur Anar Koli Mahbub inaugurated the Uddyan at Lachmanpur Land Office premises at Kushumhati Bazar area in the district.

Among others Sharepur Sadar Upazila Chairman Rafikul Islam, Upazlo Nirbahi Executive Feroz Al Mamun, Assistant Deputy Commissioner (land) Farooq Al Masud, Lachmanpur UP Chairman Md. Salim Miya were also present at the time. 

At the inauguration DC Anar Koli Mahbub said, “The initiative is taken to maintain the environmental balance marking the birth centenary of Bangabandhu. If all of us work for the country Bangabandhu’s dream of Shonar Bangla will come true”.  Later, she joined a special prayer along with others present at the time.
