In a grand celebration of beauty and talent, the "Miss Bangladesh Beauty Pageant 2024" took place at Le Meridien Dhaka, on Friday. The event was filled with excitement as 10 amazing women were crowned to represent Bangladesh on international stages across six continents.
Ferdousi Tanvir Ichchha won the title of Miss Bangladesh 2024 and will compete in the Miss Earth contest in the Philippines on November 9, 2024. Raised by her mother, who is a single parent and a teacher, Ichchha is currently studying law at BRAC University in Dhaka.
Kazi Tarana, the first runner-up, will represent Bangladesh in Miss Global in Cambodia. The second runner-up, Mahbuba Rahman Labonno, will take part in the Royal International Miss in the USA. The other seven finalists will compete in various prestigious pageants, including Miss Heritage International in Thailand, Miss Asia, Miss Asia Global, and Miss Glam World in India, Miss Interglobal in the Philippines, Miss Culture Global in South Africa, and Miss Freedom of the World in Kosovo and Albania.
The event was organized by the Miss Bangladesh Organisation and the Miss Bangladesh Foundation. Meghna Alam, chairman of the Miss Bangladesh Foundation, highlighted that their mission has just begun. She stated, “We aim to rebuild and rebrand Bangladesh globally. These young women will serve as global ambassadors, promoting environmental sustainability and social responsibility.”
The Miss Bangladesh Beauty Pageant will be broadcast on ATN Bangla. The organization hopes to showcase the beauty and intellect of Bangladeshi women while reshaping the country's image on the global stage, promoting sustainable development for a better future.
