Police on Saturday arrested ten alleged criminals along with huge firearms from Khilgaon area in the capital.
The arrestees are identified as Khan Mohammad Faisal, 38, son of Imdadul Haque of Aijgati Village of Rupsha Upazila in Khulna, Mohammad Ziaul Abedin alias Jewel, 45, Mohammad Zahed Al Abedin alias Rubel, 40, sons of late Jainal Abedin of Fhultma Village of Betagi Upazila, Barguna, S M Omar Faruq alias Lalat, 32, Anis, 45, son of Akhtaruzzaman of Aijgati of Rupsha, Khulna, Mithu, 35, of Mazar Road, Darus Salam of Mirpur, Mamun, 35, Moin, 28, Tarif, 35, and Anik, 32.
Acting on a tip off, a team of Khilgaon thana police led by Deputy Police Commissioner Mohamaad Shahidur Rahman conducted raid at Sipahibag area and nabbed Khan Mohammad Faisal along with a foreign pistol.
According to his confessional statement, the law enforcers also arrested nine other criminals along with huge firearms from the 8th floor of a building named Five Star Nibash at the area.
