10,000 trees to be planted in Magura

The District Water Development Board has taken initiative to plant 10,000 different fruit and forest trees in Magura on the occasion of National Mourning Day and the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.  These trees will be planted in different areas of local canals and rivers of the district. 

Magura-1 MP Saifu­zzaman Shikhar MP inaugurated the program at noon on Thursday at Magura Water Develop­ment Board Sadar Upazila's Haor Khali canal. Magura Municipal Mayor Khurshid Haider Tutul, Sadar Upazila Vice Chairman Sheikh Rezaul Islam, Jubo League leader Arifur Rahman Ronak, Asif Al Asad Melin, District Bs Chhatra League President Mir Mehedi Hasan Rubel and others were present on the occasion. Magura Water Development Board Magura Executive Engineer Sarwar Jahan Sujan said, 10,000 trees have been planted on the banks of various canals and rivers in the district in the month of National Mourning Day and the centenary of Bangabandhu's birth.
