A man was killed crushed to death by train at Melandah in Jamalpur on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Manu Shaikh, son of Mohej Sheikh of Shampur village of Sheikh Melandh Municipality.
The incident took place on the Jamalpur-Dewanganj rail track at Melandah, near the Durmuth Out Signal.
Jamalpur Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Taposh Kumar Chakraborty said that, the Bhatvoti was trapped and crushed to the intersection by train, inter-city Tista, from Jamalpur at Durmuth railway station in Melandah.
At that time, helper Mandu Sheikh died on the spot.
