1,61,695 students to appear at SSC exam in Jashore Education Board

Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in ten districts under Jashore Education Board (JEB),will start tomorrow February 3 (Monday) like other education boards of the country. A total of 1,61,695 students including 80,670 males and 81,025 females are going to appear at  the SSC examinations.

The ten districts are- Jashore, Narail, Jhenidah, Magura, Khustia, Chuadanga, Meherpur, Satkhira, Khulna and Bagerhat.

Jashore Education Board sources said, of them, 27,844 SSC candidates in Jashore district, 8,868 candidates in Narail, 18,149 candidates in Jhenidah, 9,947 candidates in Magura, 22,110 candidates in Khustia, 10,450 candidates in Chuadanga, 7,871 candidates in Meherpur, 18,109 candidates in Satkhira, 24,460 candidates in Khulna and 13,887 candidates in Bagerhat district to appear the SSC examinations.A total of 286 examination centers of 2,521 educational Institutions have been set up for HSC examinations under the Education Board. 

Chairman of Jashore Education Board professor Mollah Amir Hossain said that the board authorities had taken all-out measures to ensure a peaceful environment and prevent cheating at the 286 SSC examination centers. Adequate number of vigilance teams would be working for ensuring a copying-free atmosphere in the examination centres.

“We have completed almost all the necessary preparations to hold the SSC examinations in smooth and peaceful manner”, the Chairman added.

Controller of Examinations of Jashore Education Board Professor Madhab Chandra Rudra told that the centre-secretaries have been asked to follow the examination rules and regulations strictly. Punitive measures will also be taken against the institutions which will be found guilty of any irregularity.
