In the second phase of Ashwayan-2 project, 1130 landless and homeless families in 12 upazilas of Tangail received newly constructed houses. On Sunday morning, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the handover ceremony through video conference from Ganabhaban.
Sanowar Hossain (Local MP) in presence of Zilla Parishad Chairman Fazlur Rahman Khan Faruk, Tangail Deputy Commissioner Dr. Md Ataul Gani, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Shahjahan Anshari, Municipal Mayor SM Sirajul Haque Alamgir handed over the residential documents to the beneficiaries on behalf of the Prime Minister at a function held in the hall of Tangail.
Officers of BCS administration cadre of the district, officers and employees of district and upazila, political leaders and representatives of various classes and professions, beneficiaries and others also were present on the occasion.
Members of Parliament, government officials and people's representatives in their respective constituencies handed over the documents to the beneficiaries.in 12 upazilas of the district.
