1,050 students get ‘Unfinished Memoirs of Bangabandhu’

On the occasion of the historic March 7, a general knowledge competition was held with 1,050 students from 47 secondary and higher secondary educational institutions and madrasas in Chatkhil upazila of Noakhali.

The competition was organized on Sunday at the Upazila Parishad ground in collaboration with Chatkhil Upazila Secondary Education Office and with the funding of Active Foundation.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer ASM Mosa presided over the function and Chatkhil Upazila Parishad and Active Foundation Chairman Jahangir Kabir present as the chief guest.

Chatkhil Municipality Mayor. Nizam Uddin (VP Nizam), Upazila Awami League general secretary Zakir Hossain Jahangir, Chatkhil police OC. Gias Uddin, Vice Chairman of Upazila Parishad HM Ali Taher Ivu, Rosie Shaheen was special guests. Chatkhil Women's College Vice President Faruk Siddiqui Farhad, Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, student Nusrat Jahan and others spoke at the function.

At the end of the discussion, the first winners of secondary and equivalent educational institutions and the first winners of higher secondary and equivalent educational institutions were given a laptop, second place winners were given cash prizes of Tk 10,000 and third place winners were given prizes of Tk 7,000 each.

In addition, cash were given to the heads of 47 educational institutions participating in the competition and unfinished memoirs of Bangabandhu and educational materials were distributed among 1,050 students.
