A mobile court conducted by Titas gas Gazipur office fined tk 87 thousand to six persons of Monipur BK Bari area of Gazipur Sadar Upazila for illegal gas connection in their houses.
At the same time, about 1000 illegal gas connections were disconnected on Sunday, after conducted a mobile court led by Monisha Ahmed, Executive Magistrate of Gazipur District Administration.
Suruj Alam, manager of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company limited, Gazipur regional office, said the operation was carried out in those areas on Sunday as part of a regular operation against illegal gas connections. During this time, illegal connections of 1000 houses in the areas were disconnected. During the operation, six persons were fined tk 87 thousands for the use of illegal gas line in their houses. Sensing the presence of mobile court the illegal gas users fled away from their houses. They are Khorsed Alam , Sajahan, Mamun, Heza Mia of BK Bari village of Gazipur sadar.
Manager of Titas gas office Engineer Suruj Alam, Deputy Manager Engineer Abu Sufian, Engineer Mirza Shahnewaz Latif, Sub- Assistant Engineer Sabinur Rahman, Sales Assistant Anwar Hossain and others were present during the operation.
