Police recovered the body of a youth after seven days of disappearance in Brahmanbaria.
The deceased has been identified as one Abdur Rahman (32), son of Rasool Ali Miah of Majlishpur area under Sadar upazila in the district
His floating body was recovered from Titas river near Majlishpur around 11:30 am on Sunday.
Locals said Rahman was missing since December 31. On Sunday morning, locals saw the body floating on the river and informed the police.
Later, police recovered the body from the spot.
Officer-in-Charge of Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station Selim Uddin said the body was sent to the district headquarters hospital morgue for autopsy.
Rahman was mentally unbalanced and often said that he would disappear from the house, his family members said. They said that steps will be taken after getting the autopsy report.
