The fifth edition of Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival (DIMFF) is going to take place at the main campus of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) in Ramchandrapur from 15 till 16 February. The festival has already accepted films from 34 countries.
The judging panel of this year will include Director Prosun Rahman, Cinematographer Rashed Zaman and film based writer and journalist Bidhan Ribaru.
The event will be organized by ULAB’s Cinemascope Programme. In a press release, the university stated that in this year’s festival, a total of 96 films have been submitted. The films will be competing with each other in competition, one minute film and screening category.Ten films in competition, two in one minute film and the rest in screening category have been selected by the judging panel.
The best film in the competition category is going to receive the award of Cinepost Best Film Award, while the best film in one minute film will be crowned with the ULAB Young Film Maker Award. The other participating members will be awarded with certificates and prizes.
