On the night of February 20, the fierce fire of Chawkbazar killed more than 70 people. In yesterday’s first Test match between New Zealand and Bangladesh the cricketers of Bangladesh mourned that incident by wearing black badges on hand during the match. Also, Syed Altaf Hossain, legendary Bangladeshi coach of Bangladesh’s cricket, died on Tuesday. Bangladesh Cricket cannot overcome two grief’s therefore the Tigers came to the ground with black bands.
More than 70 people, including children, were killed in a fierce fire in Chawkbazar. At that time, many people including Mushfiqur Rahim, Rubel Hossain, Tamim Iqbal, expressed their sorrow and paid respect through social media. Then, at the age of 81, Bangladesh cricketing coaching pioneer, former national coach, founder of women’s cricket and National Sports Awardee personality Syed Altaf Hossain died. His death also brought sorrow in Bangladesh cricket.
Bangladesh players wore black bands in response to these two griefs.
