Swastika Mukherjee delivered gem of a performance in Anik Dutta’s 2012 hit ‘Bhooter Bhabishyat’ as a yesteryear actor Kadalibala Dasi, who had been spurned in love many a time. Her old Bengali film dialects, funny antics and witty remarks stood apart among other characters. Such was the popularity that Kadalibala became a household name.
Now, Anik Dutta is making another horror comedy ‘Bhobishyoter Bhoot’ which he insists not a sequel to the earlier film. Those who were eager to see Swastika reprising her role in this film as well, here’s a good news for them. While speaking about her upcoming projects the pretty actor confirmed she is a surprise package for Anik’s ‘Bhobishyoter Bhoot’.
“I have a few projects in hand. There is Anik Dutta’s upcoming film ‘Bhobishyoter Bhoot’ in which I am the surprise package. I am playing the mother of an autistic girl who is in search of her pet cat Cosmos in ‘Kia and Cosmos’. Then there is a Bollywood film ‘Kizzie Aur Manny’ directed by Mukesh Chhabra, Srijit Mukherji’s ‘Shah Jahan Regency’. I also have a 10-episode Hindi web series about medical college students,” revealed the Bengali actor.
Meanwhile, her latest Marathi debut ‘Aaron’ directed by Omkar Shetty was released on Friday, December 7.
