Srabanti Chatterjee and Soham Chakraborty go back a long way. In Swapan Saha’s 1997 hit ‘Mayar Badhon’ which had Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta in the lead, the pair first shared screen space as child artistes. It’s no surprise that whenever Soham and Srabanti has paired up they delivered box office hits – from ‘Amanush’, ‘Faande Poriya Boga Kaande Re’ to the latest ‘Priya Re’. Being one of the most trusted pairs to give commercial success in Bengali cinema in recent times, the pair is set to entertain the audience once again in upcoming thriller ‘Bagh Bandi Khela’ and Srabanti can’t stop praising her co-actor who has also been a close friend to her over the years.
“Soham has expressive eyes and he can deliver the dialogues with ease, that’s what I like the most in him. He is a natural actor and I know whenever Soham signs a film it gives him plenty of space to act. I have done ‘Mayar Badhon’ with Soham Da. ‘Amanush’ was also a hit. The audience has always loved our pairing. I am a very emotional person. The bonding between us is so perfect that whenever there is an emotional dialogue from Soham Da, I am left with teary eyes,” says the beautiful actress.
‘Bagh Bandi Khela’ has three interlinked stories where Soham and Srabanti will be seen in the second story ‘Bandi’, set against the backdrop of Banaras. The other two stories have Jeet, Sayantika, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rittika Sen in the lead.
