Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan on Sunday launched a mass signature campaign on National Press Club premises to press home six-point demand, including termination of Jamaat and Shibir men from public jobs, reports BSS.
Shramik Karmachari Peshajibi Muktijoddha Samannaya Parishad (SKPMSP), International War Crimes Mass Trial Movement (IWCMTM) and Muktijoddhar Santan O Projonmo Samanya Parishad jointly organised the campaign. “Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had brought independence through his six-point demand and we would protect that independence and eliminate anti-liberation elements through realising our six-point demand,” Shajahan, also the convener of SKPMSP and IWCMTM, said. “Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat, in 2004 had initiated the so called quota reform movement.
The anti-liberation elements are now hatching conspiracy in the name of quota reform movement. They are conspiring to cancel freedom fighter quota through the movement,” he added.
