Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s upcoming film ‘Saturday Afternoon’ is being displayed at the censor board. Nasiruddin Dilu, a member of the board said, “Unless there is a need for corrections, the movie will be cleared for the silver-screen by 10 January. The movie was aired to the board on 9 January at 4pm. Since the movie is based on a sensitive matter, there is a possibility of the film containing certain scenes unfit for the screen. For now these are just assumptions.”
‘Saturday Afternoon’ will star Oscar-nominated actor Eyad Hourani in the lead role. Other casts of the film include Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Zahid Hasan and Mahmuduzzaman Babu, Parambrata Chatterjee, Iresh Zaker, Iftekhar Dinar and several others. According to Aziz Ahmed if all goes well, the movie will be released in March.
As per several reports, the movie is based on the Holy Artisan terrorist attack. But on this, director Farooki has not commented yet. The film is joint production of Bangladesh, Germany and India. The movie is produced by Bangladesh’s Jaaz Multimedia and Kolkata’s Chobiwala.
