National Professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury speaks at the inaugural session of a two-day workshop on project implementation as the chief guest at Radisson Blu in the capital city on Saturday.

A two-day stakeholders workshop of the RajdhaniUnnayan Kartripakka (RAJUK), titled “Project Implementation Concept Workshop for Stakeholders” began on Saturday.
National Professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of the University of Asia Pacific, attended the inaugural session of the workshop as the chief guest with Chairman of RAJUK Md. Abdur Rahman in the chair.
Prof. Dr. M. Shamim Z Bosunia, former president of Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and Ms. SwarnaKazi, Sr. Disaster Risk Management Specialist, The Work Bank were presented as the special guests in the event.
The workshop took place at Grand Ballroom, Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden.
The events are divided into different sessions where experts discussed several technical issues with specific focus on research.
Panelists from the concerned ministries, Institute of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB), World Bank, RAJUK and other relevant stakeholders conducted different sessions in the workshop.
Different sessions of the workshop include “Project implementation concept to create & operationalizing the URU and RAJUK’, ‘Project implementation concept on building code implementation & enforcement strategy for Urban Resilience Unit (URU)’, ‘ Project Implementation concept on vulnerability assessment & prioritized investment plan for a critical assets in Dhaka for Urban Resilience Unit (URU)’, ‘Project Implementation concept on Development of Risk Sensitive Land Use Planning Practice within Dhaka City’, ‘Project Implementation Concept on Assessing the Current State and Deploying a Web-based Integrated Information Management System for the Construction Permit System of RAJUK’, and ‘Project Implementation Concept on Design and Supervision of Urban Resilience Unit (URU) Building including Research, Training, and Testing Laboratory Facilities under RAJUK in Dhaka, Bangladesh Around 250 participants from World Bank, RAJUK and other relevant stakeholders participated in the workshop.
