After washing out first day’s play , rain washed out almost the entire second day’s play of lone three-day practice match between Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI and visiting Zimbabwe Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Tuesday.
In the first day, there was no toss held after the persistent drizzling since the morning. So in the second day, BCB XI opted to field first after winning the toss. Only nine over’s were bowled during the entire day.
After nine over’s, Zimbabwe’s score was twelve runs for the loss of one wicket. Earlier, Masakadza and Chari opened the innings for Zimbabwe. Chari fell in the hands of Rubel Hossain without troubling the score board, after he was caught by Nurul Hasan. Masakadza and Ervine are currently batting, with Masakadza scoring eleven runs.
Rubel ended the day with figures of, four over’s bowled, one wicket, three maiden by giving away only two runs.
The first Test of the two-match Test series between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will begin on November 3 in Sylhet. The visitors lost the three-match ODI series 3-0 to Bangladesh.
