President Abdul Hamid has returned home from London after his medical checkup.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, carrying the President, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:15am on Thursday, President’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad told reporters.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, Dean of the diplomatic corps and ambassador of Vatican in Bangladesh, British High Commissioner to Dhaka, Chiefs of the three forces, Inspector General of Police, senior civil and military officials welcomed the President at the airport.
Earlier, Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Mohammad Nazmul Kawnain saw the President off at the Heathrow International Airport in London on Wednesday night.
President Hamid went to London on July 7, where he had stayed for 12 days for medical treatment.
It is to be stated that President Hamid has been suffering from glaucoma for a long time and he regularly visits foreign countries for treatment.
