Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested a youth and his mother-in-law along with Phensidyl and Yaba tablets at Bijoynagar upazila in Brahmanbaria.
The arrestees are Rafiq Mia, 27, and his mother-in-law Rafiya Khatun, 40. Theey are residents of Kalikapur village under Madhabpur upazila in Habiganj district. Rafiq is son Lal Mia of Kalikapur village in Habiganj.
On Thursday afternoon, they were arrested in Nidarabad village of Bijayanagar upazila.
According to the RAB sources, Rafiq used to collect drugs from the border areas along with his mother-in-law. On secret information, a team of RAB-14 conducted an operation in the area and arrested them.
During a search, the RAB members recovered 81 bottles of Phensidyl, 16 pieces of Yaba, and one lakh 25 thousand 300 taka of the sale of the drug from them.
