One youth and a female student of Class Nine died in a septic tank due to lack of oxygen at village Karpashdanga in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district on July 23 at about 6 pm.
The deceased were identified as Hasibul Islam, 23, son of Motleb Ali of village Kaliabokriand Asma Khatun, 16, daughter of Isadul Hoque of village Karpashdanga, a student of Class nine of Karpashdanga High School in Damurhudaupazila of the district.
Abdul Khaleque, OC of Damurhuda Police Station and villagers said IshadulHoque of village Karpashdanga was constructing a septic tank at his house. The tank was under construction.
The tank was filled with rain water. Both Hasibul and Asma got down in the tank for pulling out water from the tank. They died there for want of oxygen.
Abdus Salam, Sub-Assistant Director of Chuadanga Fire Service said on information Fire Service Personnel of Chuadanga and Darshana rushed to the spot and rescued them.
