Bangladesh Under-19 team is eyeing to end the tour with a winning note when they take on their New Zealand counterpart in the fifth and final match of the series at Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln on Sunday, report agencies.

Having won the series on the back of three straight wins in the first three matches, Bangladesh stumbled in the fourth match after tasting a four-wicket defeat. The defeat shattered their hopes to inflict a whitewash on the hosts but they are determined to make the score-line 4-1.

To materialize it, they need to win the fifth game but the way New Zealand youth won the fourth game, it only indicated that it won’t be a cakewalk for young Tigers.

New Zealand U19 team chased down a target of 296 to break the deadlock, leaving Bangladesh in a surprised state.

But the good thing for Bangladesh is that all of their top order batsmen have been amongst runs. Their bowling was up to mark until the fourth game.

As such, captain Akbar Ali expected that the bowlers will learn from their mistakes in the fourth game and will come up with better show in the fifth and final match of the series.

The Bangladesh Under-19 team will head towards the country from New Zealand on Monday.
