In a bid to provide world class eye care service to the people of rural areas, the government is planning to establish a specialized hospital in every district. In that continuity, the government has established Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Eye Hospital & Training Institute in Gopalganj where world class eye care services are being given to marginal people without free of cost.

Under the dynamic leadership of our Prime Minister the government now aims to take world class eye care facilities to the doorsteps of the poor without any cost. However in order to do that the government must also raise awareness about the importance of eye treatment among the grassroots and less advantaged people.

The extensive awareness programmes will help them know more about the importance of eye treatment through the use of Community Vision Centre (CVC).

Irrespective of class and where they live in every

person deserves proper eye care and with the immense

support of our premier this impossible has now become possible

A major obstacle in this initiative will be the shortage of manpower. As there are not many skilled health workers available that could provide proper treatment. Even if there were, they would not want to work in the sub district level and it is the reality.

However, this dilemma is now on the verge of being solved through CVC facilities as everyone does not need to visit a specialized doctor in person. With this initiative grassroots level people can now access the treatment facility from the community clinics.

Irrespective of class and where they live in, every person deserves proper eye care and with the immense support of our premiere this impossible has now become possible.
