Working committees for SME Policy- 2019 finalized

National SME Development Council (NSDC) has finalized the committees for implementing the ‘SME Policy-2019’ aiming to develop the country’s small and medium-sized entities, reports BSS.

The council today finalized the committees at a meeting at the Industries Ministry conference room in the city, said a press release.

President of the council and Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun presided over the meeting while State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder and other members of the council delivered speeches on the occasion.

In his speech, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun said the country’s around 78 lakh SME industries are creating employment opportunities for the youths.

“The entrepreneurs of the sector are running their business with honesty. If we can ensure loan facility for them, they will play a vital role for the development of economy,” he added.

Kamal Ahmed Mojumder said banks are making good profit by giving loans to the SME sector.

He urged the authorities concerned to give loans at the SME industries at the rural areas for developing local raw material based industry and ensuring facilities of town at village.
