It has been 48 years since the birth of Bangladesh and the political party which lead to the victory of 1971 is Awami League (AL). Very recently the 70th founding anniversary of AL was celebrated nationally. Although, the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman passed away after gifting such a great nation to the people of Bangladesh, his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has took the helm of the country strong handedly and guided an underdeveloped Bangladesh to the path of development.

The recent achievements of Bangladesh in economy, agriculture and RMG are noteworthy and have acquired much praise from the world community. Moving forth, the goal of becoming a middle income country by 2021 is in the horizon. The infrastructural development across the country is also laudable.

As a country with great potential and

ambition to reach middle income status,

 the numbers are greatly promising

The PM’s enunciation about Bangladesh marching forward towards socioeconomic development and the Bengali nation achieving dignity in the entire world after Awami League came to power is very sensible and practical at the same time. The food deficiency in the country has already been removed to such an extent that Bangladesh can now export its goods abroad.

Moreover, the economic growth of Bangladesh has been very much exemplary and it looks as if the people will continue to enjoy the remarkable progress. As a country with great potential and ambition to reach middle income status, the numbers are greatly promising.

The public projects in the pipeline envision a scenario where the country should continue to see significant and increasing public investment and the authorities deserve applauds for taking on these ambitions with a brave heart.

The much awaited Sonar Bangla is not that far away. With the dreams of accomplishing the SDGs, the step towards becoming a developed and self sufficient nation is ever closer.
