Victory Day Concert

Concerts have been organised in various places of the country on the occasion of the great Victory Day. In addition to the star singers, local artistes will also sing at these events. In an effort to glorify the role of Dhaka University and Bangladesh Police in the war of liberation and to keep the consciousness of liberation war evergreen among the generations, a program titled ‘Gourobmoy Bijoyer 48 Bochhor’  has been organised by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police today.

The programme will start from 2pm at the field of Mohsin Hall of Dhaka University. It includes honouring the martyred teachers of Dhaka University and the martyred freedom fighters of Bangladesh Police for their outstanding contribution in the War of Liberation including a cultural program.

Folk musician Momtaz Begum, James and his band Nagar Baul and Sharmin Sultana Sumi of the Chirkut band, along with other music artistes, will perform at the cultural event. Fakir Alamgir too will perform songs of victory. Debashish Biswas and Israt Pavel will present the cultural event.

The program will be containing performances by media personnel and artistes of Bangladesh Police Literature and Cultural Council, photograph exhibition and arrangements by DUCSU.

Momtaz Satellite television channel Asian TV will broadcast the programme live from 6:00pm to 10:00pm from the Mohsin Hall grounds of Dhaka University.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan MP will be present as the chief guest at the event. Prime Minister's Private Industries and Investment Advisor Salman Fazlur Rahman MP and Inspector General, Bangladesh Police will be the special guests. The programme will be inaugurated by Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof 

SumiDr Md Akhtaruzzaman in the presence of Mohammad Jabed Patwari BPM (Bar), Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam. Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) will provide full support for the programme.
