A van driver was killed being crushed by a truck at Ahammedpur bazar area under Boraigram upazila in Natore on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Gafur, 55, son of Mishri Pramanik, a technician from Bagrom village under Halsha union of the upazila.
Police and locals informed Gafur went to Ahammedpur bazar from his home after being rented. After reaching Ahammedpur bazar, suddenly a freight truck hit his van from behind, leaving him dead on the spot.
Police recovered the body and sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
