Ridesharing Company Uber has partnered with BRAC to train up the driver partners on road safety as part of its recently launched campaign, reports BSS

They would organise where BRAC impart a structured and institutional training aimed at sensitizing driver partners on road safety and defensive driving techniques, said a press release on Friday.

This will include modules on road safety knowledge, civic responsibility, traffic signs and signals, lane discipline and driving, as well as ‘do’ and ‘don’t’ of road safety regulations.

“At Uber, we are committed to constantly evolve and innovate towards solving for rider and driver partners safety concerns,” said Zulquar Quazi Islam, Lead, Uber Bangladesh.

Dr Kamran Ul Baset, Program Head, BRAC Road Safety Program, said, “Safety and security on roads has been a prime concern in Bangladesh for quite sometimes and it’s great to see that ridesharing companies like Uber are coming forward to arrange short training for their driver partners.”
