Sri Lanka Cricket chief executive Ashley de Silva said that they will explore the possibility of playing against Bangladesh in the next 14 days, report agencies.

Bangladesh were supposed to play three Test against Sri Lanka from the third week of July but that looks to be in doubt for coronavirus pandemic.

The three-Test match which was meant to be played in Colombo, Galle and Kandy are part of the Test Championship

‘’There are also two other tours [apart from home series against England] which are scheduled to take place as India and Bangladesh due to tour Sri Lanka in June-July and July-August respectively.

We will explore the possibility of playing those two tours in another week or two.” de Silva told Sri Lankan newspaper Daily News. SLC had already started working on to re-schedule their postponed tours and they are pretty active in this process

‘’We are in the process of rescheduling the tours that have been postponed, England has been already rescheduled for the month of January next year but the dates have not been finalized.”

He  said At the same time, we are also looking at exploring the possibility of rescheduling postponed tours and looking at the windows which are available and alternatives too.

South Africa is one of the tours which we are looking at rescheduling. We are engaged in discussions with the member countries and see how it can be planned out.
