Tigers to arrive at team hotel today

Bangladesh team’s tour of Sri Lanka has not been confirmed yet. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is awaiting the decision of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC).

However, the BCB has started all kinds of activities as per the previous plan for the tour. The corona test of the cricketers has been conducted. Now, the national team players will arrive at the team hotel from Sunday.

BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury told the media on Saturday. He said the cricketers’ corona was tested on Friday. Corona test results of the cricketers published on Saturday. The cricketers will start to stay at the team hotel on Sunday. 

Debashish Chowdhury said, “Cricketers' Covid-19 test report will be available today. Only those who are negative will be staying at the team hotel. The same goes for team management and support staff.”

According to BCB sources, a total of 53 people, including 17 cricketers, were tested on the first day. Apart from the cricketers, all the other 35 are employees of the Hotel Sonargaon.

Meanwhile, the ensuing tour of Bangladesh Cricket team to Sri Lanka to play a three-match Test Series, has become uncertain due to mandatory 14-day quarantine in the Island nation, imposed by Sri Lankan Health authority.
