Three prisoners have died after falling asleep on a train line in Barhatta upazila of Netrokona district. The identities of the dead were not immediately known.
The accident took place in Dashal area of the upazila on Sunday (October 18) morning.
Locals said some fishermen went fishing on Saturday night. Later three fishermen fell asleep on the railway line. The accident took place when a train came on that line on Sunday morning. However, it is not yet known by which train the incident took place.
Netrokona Additional Superintendent of Police Fakhruzzaman Jewel confirmed the accident and told the media that their identities were not immediately known. However, it was initially known that they were fishermen.
