Lux star Shanari Devi Shanu is not very regular in acting. She is irregular in acting due to being busy with family and writing. But it is not as if she has totally given up on acting. Occasionally, she would stand in front of the camera with familiar lights.
For several years, she has been busy writing stories, novels and poetry. Her first children's book 'Shanarei O Tar Jadur Leitrang’ was published at this year's Ekushey Boi Mela. And for writing this book, she has recently been awarded the best award at the Mina Media Award.
Shanu said, “I cannot express in words how big this honor is for me. When the final result of the Lux Channel-i Superstar competition was announced, I had a similar case of anxiety during this announcing too. I finally got the award and it made me feel really good to be doing what I love. As a writer, the responsibility also increases.”
Shanu is coming up with three new books for the upcoming Ekushey Boi Mela.
These are the novel 'Lipstick', poem book ‘priyotomo Megh’ and children’s book the name of which hasn’t been decided yet. Shanu has been busy with books for some time now.
