Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said, ‘There is no country in the world except Bangladesh that can supply free textbook among the students on the very beginning day of the academic year only due to the credit of the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’, reports BSS.
The Minister said these on Thursday while distributing the free textbooks among the students of some schools in Manikganj Sadar Upazila and Saturia Upazila of the district. He said the government is trying to ensure the quality education at all level in the country. Maleque advised the students to make them worthy citizens of the country acquiring proper knowledge.
The functions was addressed among others by Advocate Abdul Majid Photo, Chairman, Saturia Upazila Parishad, A F M Sultanul Azam khan Apel, Joint Secretary, Manikganj District Awami League and Md. Afaz uddin.
