Police have arrested Sumon on charges of raping a teenage girl at Chaumuhani municipal area of Noakhali's Begumganj.
He was arrested in a raid on Saturday (October 24) night.
The girl's father filed a case against Sumon.
According to the statement of case, Sumon forcibly raped the girl at knife-point. Sumon ran away when her parents, who were in the next room, came forward screaming at her.
Begumganj Police Station OC Kamruzzaman Sikder said Sumon was arrested on Saturday night after a case was filed. The girl was later also examined at the 250-bed General Hospital.
