Police detained a Madrasha teacher over rape attempt to a child girl at Hemayetpur area of Savar on Wednesday night. The detainee is Abu Taher, 40, hailed from Nilphamari district.
According to the complaint, the father of the girl was left her at her Madrasha on Wednesday morning like other days. Later, the teacher allegedly tried to rape the child girl during tiffin period, but the teacher left her just because the girl was crying during this time. Enamul Haque, sub-inspector of Savar Model police station, confirmed the matter. He said that victim’s father filed a case with Savar Model Police Station in this connection. Later police detained the teacher by conducting a drive at Hemayetpur area.
