Swiss entrepreneurs keen to invest more in Bangladesh

Entrepreneurs of the Switzerland are showing their keenness to invest more in Bangladesh as the country has achieved remarkable success in ensuring investment friendly environment, reports BSS.

The information was disclosed today at a meeting between the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Md Sirazul Islam and Switzerland Ambassador to Bangladesh Rene Holenstain at BIDA headquarters in the city, said a press release.

During the meeting, they discussed various bilateral issues, including investment-friendly environment, future planning, ease of doing business and important sectors for investment. Sirazul Islam said the key work of BIDA is to provide support for investment and the authority is providing all sorts of support to the investors in the country.

He informed that investors of the country will get services, including registration, E-tin, visa work permit and royalty, from home through online. He informed that BIDA is working for ease of doing business and hoped that Bangladesh’s position will come down to the double digit within the next two years.

Rene Holenstain lauded the quick development of Bangladesh and said entrepreneurs of Switzerland are showing eagerness to expand their investment in the country.
