He made this warning at the monthly meeting of the departmental committee held at the Chittagong Circuit House on Tuesday.

Abdul Mannan said onions in some parts of India were flooded but onion prices did not rise there. But in order to embarrass the government, some unscrupulous businessmen and hoarders have reduced the price of onion in Bangladesh from Tk 25 to Rs 70 per kg. If the onion prices are not brought to a tolerable level within a few days, strict action will be taken by identifying the unscrupulous reservists through the mobile court.

Referring to the abundance of Myanmar and Indian goods in the market surrounding the Rohingya camp, the divisional commissioner said, "There is not much of our domestic product here." In order to stop the marketing of these illicit goods, the BGB will have to carry out a campaign through the mobile court.

Chittagong Range DIG Khandaker Golam Faruk said about the upcoming rally at the meeting, the work of making an idol is going on for the upcoming Durga Puja. Anti-nationalism can vandalize and attack pujasandapas to destroy communal harmony. In view of this, volunteer forces have to be guarded by the district administration at the place of making the idol. SPs have also been instructed to take necessary measures for the overall security of the puja.
