Whip of the Jatiya Sangshad (JS) and local lawmaker Mahabub Ara Begum Gini today underscored the need for strengthening the livestock sector of the country through the best uses of the modern technologies.
“As the country under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has advanced far in technology, it is possible to make livestock sector more equitable by using modern technology”, she said this while addressing a function on inputs of livestock distribution among the beneficiaries at district livestock office here as chief guest. District Livestock Officer Dr. Masudur Rahman, Sadar Upazila Veterinary Surgeon Dr Anwar Hossain also addressed the function among others while Upazila Livestock Officer Tarun Kumar Dutta presided over the function.Whip Gini also termed the present government as agriculture friendly and said for taking necessary measures, a revolution has taken place in the Agriculture sector side by side with achieving country’s food security.
As the country has already advanced far in technology, it is possible to take the livestock sector forward more in future to build smart livestock sector, which can help the government transform the country into Smart Bangladesh by 2041. , she added.Later, the Whip formally
distributed the inputs like trolleys, mat, mug to 400 beneficiaries coming from 13 unions of the upazila as chief guest.
