Barguna Zilla Parishad on Thursday distributed stipend among 194 students of poor families in the town, reports BSS.
On the occasion, a function was held at Zilla Shilpakala Academy in the morning with chief executive officer of Barguna Zilla Parishad Md Faridul Islam in the chair.
Zilla Parishad Chairman Md Delowar Hossain distributed the cheques among the students as the chief guest.
The function was addressed, among others, by Deputy Director of Local Govt Department Md Mahobub Alam, Principal of Barguna Govt College Md Abdus Salam and District Education Officer Md Shahadot Hossain
Each of the students who obtained golden GPA-5 in SSC got Taka 5000, students who obtained golden GPA-5 in HSC got Taka 7,000 and the students who obtained GPA-5 in SSC got Taka 4000 and in HSC got Taka 6000.
