On the occasion of National Mourning Day on the initiative of Islamic Foundation, special prayers and munajat have been organized in all mosques of the country on 15th August (Saturday) on the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
This information was given in a press release signed by the Director General of the Islamic Foundation Anis Mahmud (Additional Secretary) on Monday (August 10).
The National Mourning Day 2020 will be observed on August 15 on the 45th martyrdom anniversary of the great architect of independence and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with due dignity across the country.
On the occasion of Mourning Day, special prayers will be offered in all mosques across the country on 14th August, Friday after Jummah prayers and 15th of August after Zuhr prayers on the following Saturday afternoon through ensuring social distance and health precautions. Special request has been made to all concerned including the respected Khatib, Imam and Mosque Committee of the mosques to do so in the notice given by Islamic Foundation.
