Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury is expected to come to her constituency Rangpur6 (Pirganj) on a three-day visit today, local Awami League (AL) and official sources said, reports BSS. Dr. Shirin will take part in a number of programmes on Tuesday and Wednesday before leaving Pirganj for Dhaka by air from Syedpur Airport on Thursday morning. On Tuesday afternoon, the Speaker will distribute saree among 1,500 poor and distressed women of all 15 unions of Pirganj upazila at a function to be arranged at Government ShahAbdur Rouf College ground as the chief guest. On Wednesday, Dr. Shirin will inaugurate the three-day Fruit Tree Fair- 2019 that will be organised by UpazilaAgriculture Office on Pirganj upazila parisahd premises in the morning. At noon, she will hand over 285 houses among beneficiary families who have lands but not houses under the Asrayan-2 project at a function to be held at Pirganj upazila parisahd auditorium.
