Sadik Bin Sazzad, son of DMP Ramna Division Deputy Commissioner Sazzadur Rahman, committed suicide with the licensed pistol of his father in their house in Azimpur government quarter in the capital on Monday morning. Quoting family, Dhaka Metropolitan (DMP) Lalbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge Aslam Uddin said Sadik, 17, a second year student of Dhaka City College, shot himself by the pistol in his room at early hours when the other members were sleeping.
Sazzadur Rahman has been living along with family in the government quarter.The victim's family alleged that Sadik had been suffering from frustration on various matters.The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue. Police also found a letter beside the body where he wrote that the reason behind his suicide.
