Son-in-law detained with stolen cow in Beanibazar

Beanibazar police, on Wednesday, nabbed one cow lifter, Sohel Ahmed (28), a native of of Lauta union ahead Eid-ul-Adha.

According to local sources, Sohel, son of Mozemmel Ali of Nandirphal area in Beanibazar had stolen a cow belonging to his wife’s paternal uncle from Patan Uchpara village in Mollapur union of Beanibazar on Tuesday night.

The next day, he took the stolen cow to livestock market in Fakirbazar to sell. The locals are skeptical of the low price for cow at the market and the tendency to sell it early. They caught Sohel and handed him to the Barni Union Parishad. After being informed about it, the police detained Sohel along with the cow and took him to Beanibazar police station.

Officer-in-charge of Beanibazar Police Station said one person was detained along with the stolen cow. The owner of the cattle filed a case with the Beanibazar police station on Wednesday night.
