Six members of a Bangladeshi family were found shot dead in their home early Monday at Allen, a town of Texas is the United States.

Police suspect two brothers -- Tanvir Towhid and Farhan Towhid -- gunned down their parents, sister and maternal grandmother before killing themselves sometime on Saturday.

They said they found a suicide note which suggests that the two siblings entered into a pact to kill the entire family to get them rid of ‘suffering’ from depression.

The deceased are identified as Tanvir, 21, Farhan, 19, their parents Towhidul Islam, 54, and Iren Islam, 56, sister Farbin Towhid, 19, and grandmother Altafun Nessa, 77 – all boring gunshot wounds.

The two siblings were the students of University of Texas at Austin and their sister had a full scholarship to New York University.

The grandmother, who was visiting the house, was supposed to return home next month, said members of the Bangladeshi community. Allen police said they got a call for a welfare check at a home on Pine Bluff Drive around 1am on Monday, according to fox4news.com.

One of Farhan's friends made the call as he found a rambling suicide note describing what led up to the tragedy.

"The friend had seen the post that his friend made on Instagram, and that's what made him call and say that he was concerned for his wellbeing," he said.

In the note, Farhan detailed "depression since 9th grade" and "the first time [he] cut himself."

He also added that "the only reason for existence is happiness," and that he should not live if he is not happy.

The note read: "They [the family] would spend the rest of their lives feeling guilt, despair [after their suicide]... I could just do them a favor and take them with me."

Friends say they knew Farhan previously cut himself.

Police said there were no records of any problems at the home and that they have begun an investigation into the incident.
