A Dhaka court on Monday placed Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Sub Inspector (SI) of Detective Branch (DB) Rashedul Alam on a two-day remand for quizzing on his alleged robbing of Taka 5.5 lakh from a Bangladeshi expatriate, reports BSS. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ashok Imam granted the two-day remand for Rashedul Alam, responding to the appeal of the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case SI Harun-Or-Rashid of Wari Police Station.
Earlier, in a drive the law enforcement agency arrested Rashedul Alam from Narayanganj on Sunday last. He is a resident of Bhuighor village under Fatulla police station under Narayanganj district.
