Barbados Tridents won the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) trophy for the second time when they broke the 11-match winning streak of Guyana Amazon Warriors to secure a 27-run victory in the final at Tarouba on Saturday, according to CPL website, report agencies.

The victory came despite the failure of their ace Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan who couldn't shine in any department. With willow, Shakib made run-a-ball-15 before being run out and didn't claim any wicket after bowling two overs in which he conceded 18 runs.
